Open letter to the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki

The prolonged uncertainty about the organizational and economic possibilities makes the future of the festivals dramatic. The pandemic situation has stopped almost all sectors of the creative economy and festivals are the most interdisciplinary types of events. They represent all fields of art, they are organized in various, complex organizational models by public and private institutions. In subsequent plans of unfreezing social life, they are not even mentioned, yet they are of key importance for many related industries, for many jobs, for the international circulation and mobility of works and creators. Representatives of Polish festivals has written an open letter to the government, drawing attention to their situation. The letter also presents postulates and proposed solutions that, being long-term activities, will contribute to the reconstruction of the festival culture area, which is important for our country.
