Bogumiła Zgorzelska

Dancer, home counselor. She has been interested in Polish traditional dance for nearly 15 years. Together with her husband Piotr Zgorzelski, with whom she has been running dance workshops for years, she created the Czas Tradycji Foundation, thanks to which many educational and cultural projects related to Polish traditional dance and music are implemented. She co-creates the TaniecTradycyjny.PL project.

 

Piotr Zgorzelski

A graduated ethnologist, dancer and musician by choice (he was a big part of the band Janusz Prusinowski Kompania for over twenty years). For over 20 years he has been running Polish traditional dance workshops in Poland and around the world from regions such as Mazowsze, Radomskie, Wielkopolska and Rzeszowskie.

He learned to dance directly from the village and city dancers of the older generation, as well as from archival sources, working out his own workshop schedule, considering contemporary predispositions and skills of generation detached from a real contact with folk music.
