Warszawski Sekstet Sentymentalny / Poland

​

Songs from pre-war theatres, courtyard ballads, and the couplets of the Warsaw and Lviv interwar period. The group’s repertoire also includes compositions by modern artists inspired by city folklore and traditional Polish melodies; they accompany dancing parties with lively polkas and foxtrots, sultry tangos and romantic waltzes.

 

Some of the Sextet musicians are associated with the Grupa Teatralna Warszawiaki (Varsovians Theatre Group) and the Warszawska Orkiestra Sentymentalna (Warsaw Sentimental Orchestra).
