Raduza (Czech Rep.)

(16.07.2013, 9:00 PM, Alchemia)

Premiere concert "Ocelovy mesto" ["Steel City"] – at the Rozstaje Festival and in Poland – will be performed with a band by Raduza – an excellent poet, singer, multi-instrumentalist, an artist who restores the dimension of the genre and upgrades the form of an author's song inspired by urban and folk tradition – to the level of universal art.

Years ago, she was singing in the streets and was "found" by Zuzana Navarova. In 2001 she graduated from the Prague Conservatory and made her debut with the album "Andelove z nebe" ["Angels from heaven"]. In 2007, a film was made about her ("Pujdu kam chci" ["I'll go where I want"], directed by Olga Spatova). She has recorded nine original albums; she creates music for film and theater ("Trzy siostry" - Theater Dejvicki; "Romeo i Jana" - Theater in Reznicka; "Taniec na koniec lata" - Teatr Śląski in Opava and others); she conducts research on folk music of various European nations. She co-creates the Czech alternative scene; from the position of her own, independent publishing house, she conquers the hearts of listeners and... the phonographic music market! Winner of three "Golden Angels" – the most important awards of the Czech music industry – in the following categories: Vocalist of the Year, Revelation of the Year and the Award for the Best Folk Album.

One of the most interesting personalities of the Czech music scene.
