EtnoKraków/Crossroads

EtnoKraków / Crossroads is an international festival dedicated to ethnic, traditional and world music; one of the most important projects of this type in Poland and Europe. Until now: 22 editions of the festival (1999-2020) include music from all over the world performed by bands from the international and Polish ethno scene, world music and traditional music scene.

There are open-air concerts on big stages (so far: Main Square in Krakow, Mały Rynek square, Wolnica Square, Szczepański Square, Powiśle, Barbakan), intimate meetings (ethnojazz / roots / world music style, music workshops) in prestigious locations ( including the Museum of Municipal Engineering, the Małopolska Garden of Arts, Academy of Theater Arts, St. Catherine's Church, Tempel Synagogue, Krakow Philharmonic, Galicia Jewish Museum, Stara Zajezdnia, Strefa and Alchemia clubs).

EtnoKraków / Crossroads is a meeting place, a project open to multiculturalism, a forum for presenting music from all over the world performed by the best bands of the international world music scene and at the same time - an opportunity to popularize the most interesting Polish artists representing ethno-jazz, ethno and world music styles - on an international forum.

The guests of the twenty-one editions of the EtnoKraków / Crossroads Festival (so far: several hundred bands from several dozen countries and four continents) are in many cases artists and bands that constitute the canon of the genre of ethno and world music scene today.
