Solo concert on flamenco guitar

 

Michał Czachowski – virtuoso of flamenco guitar; he concerted with great flamenco musicians, such as: dancers Eduardo el Clavijo, Teo Barea, Carlos Troya and Maite Saez; cajonist Ricardo Espinosa; guitarists Rafael Cortes, Gerardo Nunez, Rafael Cuen Garibi; virtuoso of percussion instruments Pierluca Pineroli; masters of Indian music: dancer Pratap Pawar, sitarist Avaneendra Sheolikar, tablist Sandesh Popatkar, excellent singer Prasad Khaparde and also American virtuoso of sarod, Steven Day. In 2004 and 2005 Michał Czachowski was chosen the best flamenco guitarist by the readers of the magazine „Gitara i Bas”. His own project Indialucia connects two fascinating music styles: Indian music and flamenco. Recordings were made between 1999 and 2004, mainly in India and Spain. Many brilliant musicians from both continents took part in it. Originator, producer and artistic director of the recording was Michał Czachowski and the result of many years of his work is an album, that shows for the first time in history, how much flamenco and its far Indian roots have in common. The album of Indialucia have become a winner of the „Wirtualne Gęśle” Award and has also gained the title of Folk Phonogram of the Year (next to Joanna Słowińska's album „Live in Alchemia” and an album of Transkapela Sounds & Shadows) awarded by Polish Radio for the best album of 2005.
