Łada / Poland

 

Łada is a band co-created by Zofia Zaborowska and Kacper Siejkowski. They are reconstructors of old village music and they look for archaic motifs in the songs of the southern and eastern Slavs.

 

They conduct their own ethnomusicological field studies among Serbs in Žegarze in Dalmatia. They participated in many workshops led by ethnomusicologists - practitioners such as Svetlana Spajić, Ivo Brikić, Jelena Jovanović, Branko Tadić, Sanja Ranković, Tatiana Sopiłka, Sofia Herian. They recreate historical songs of the Slavs' everyday life and rituals. Łada will sing on July 3 as part of the song night.
