Krzysztof Trebunia-Tutka (Poland)

Musician, multi-instrumentalist, poet and architect. Creator and leader of the band Trebunie-Tutki, with which he has been playing concerts at the biggest world music festivals in Europe, Asia and North America. He worked with many artists (Twinkle Brothers, Ordo Sakhna, Włodzimierz Kiniorski, Michał Kulenty, Krzysztof Ścierański, Katarzyna Gaertner, Sławomir Wierzcholski, Paweł Kukiz, Wojciech Waglewski, Mateusz Pospieszalski and others). He was a laureate of a title of Honorowy Ambasador Polszczyzny [Honorary Ambassador of Polish Language] with his band Trebunie-Tutki in November, 2008 – for the lyrics of songs written and performed in Podhale dialect. Krzysztof grew up in the circle of Polish Highlanders' tradition, in the family with multi-generational musical traditions. Since his childhood years he has performed on stage with different highlander bands and his family ensemble, gaining knowledge and expanding it with literature and ethnographic studies. For many years he has conducted educational work (lectures, workshops) for all interested in Podhale culture.
