(27.07.2008, 7:00 PM, Main Square)

According to music critics: „the personality at the level of Cezaria Evory, Omara or Lila Downs” (Wojciech Ossowski, Polish Radio 3 - „Trójka”); „the First Lady of Polish folk - one of the most fascinating and expressive vocalists on the Polish music scene” (Tomasz Janas, „Gazeta Wyborcza”). Joanna performs with her own band, consisting of Krakowian instrumentalists; with her original recitals she concerted in most European countries and in the USA. Her concert record „Live in Alchemia” was awarded by Polish Radio music critics and journalists with the title of „Folk Album of the Year 2005” (second nomination). She is also a winner of Grand Prix, Independent Audience Award 'Burza Braw' and Special Award of TVP Polonia on the Polish Radio Festival 'New Tradition' 2004. In 2006 as a soloist of three oratorios of a common name „Tryptyk Świętokrzyski”, Joanna was awarded a „Multi-platinum Album” of Phonographic Academy ZPAV and in 2007 „Superjedynka” Award of Polish Song Festival in Opole. In 2008 she was in the finals of that latter competition.
