Jascha Lieberman Trio (Poland)

 

Jascha Lieberman Trio consists of three graduates of the Academy of Music in Krakow: Jascha Lieberman – violin, viola; Jacek Hołubowski – accordion; Roman Ślazyk – double bass. The artists have made numerous television, radio and CD recordings and concerts all over Europe and North America. The repertoire of the Trio includes: traditional music of Ashkenazi Jews, Balkan music, songs stylized on Jewish folklore and compositions by the band's leader Jascha Lieberman.

In original arrangements, the musicians use elements of classic, jazz and contemporary music. On special request, the ensemble has performed for Ronald Lauder, Shlomo Mintz, and the London Philharmonic, among others. At the invitation of Martin Engstroem – vice president of Deutsche Grammophon, Jascha Lieberman Trio performed at the festival in Verbier (Switzerland). Jascha Lieberman Trio performs at international music festivals alongside such celebrities as Zubin Mehta, Martha Argerich, Mischa Maisky, and Nigel Kennedy.
