Vitold Rek (Poland)

 

One of the most outstanding contemporary jazz double bass players, at ROZSTAJE will perform a concert: „Bassfiddle alla polacca”, which is an extremely interesting combination and processing of folk motifs (inspiration with Eastern European traditional music) and jazz with elements of classical music. Vitold Rek is a graduate of the Academy of Music in Krakow, currently a lecturer in double bass at the University of Gutenberg in Mainz and at the Collage of Music in Frankfurt am Main.
