Maskarás (Hungary)

 

The Maskarás Theater from Budapest specializes in street ventures, based mainly on Hungarian and Transylvanian traditional motifs. Archetypical threads and legends, although presented in a modern way to a modern recipient, are presented by traditional means of expression, where music, visual arts, movement and dance are equivalent means of expression.

At ROZSTAJE Festival, next to the happening activities, the Maskarás theater will present the night performance „Drzewo Świata” ["Tree of the World"] based on mythical themes.
