"There's a river, a tree, a house, and a table - on the side of light" Joanna Słowińska & Stanisław Słowiński Quartet

Concert inspired by Polish traditional music, motifs of music from Lesser Poland, Subcarpathia, Romani and Klezmer music. A journey through time and space: following the footsteps of village musicians, Gypsy caravans, and Klezmer orchestras.

Songs with lyrics by Jan Słowiński – performed by Joanna Słowińska, in dialogue with interpretations by musicians from the jazz and improvised music scene who form the Stanisław Słowiński Quartet – one of the leading bands in the improvised music scene. We will hear pieces known from programs such as: 'Bursztynowe drzewo', 'Zielnik', 'Możesz być', 'Wczoraj wolność mi dali' – inspired by Slavic folklore, Jewish and Romani traditions, but also representing a strong original lyrical creation.
