Gennady Tchamzyryn GENDOS – "Sygysh" (Russia, Tuwa)

Gendos is a Siberian musician and shaman (for three generations), vocalist and instrumentalist, who's familiar such exotic instruments as chadegan, homus and dosphuloore. Besides, Gennady mastered all styles of guttural singing – from sygyt to kargyraa. Six years of concerting allowed Gendos to become one of the most important people in the musical world of Tuwa, next to the other big stars of this scene, like Huun Huur Tu and Yat-Kha. At the Rozstaje/Crossroads Festival Gendos will play a programme from the incoming album „Sygysh”.
